SAP Model Company is a preconfigured, industry-specific S/4HANA system, built from SAP's Best Practice process content, that gives an implementation project a working baseline instead of a blank system. Teams configure a proven starting point rather than building every process from scratch.
Before Model Company existed as a formal offering, most S/4HANA implementations started with a mostly empty system and a long list of configuration workshops to define processes one by one. Model Company front-loads that work: a manufacturing company gets a system pre-built with standard manufacturing processes for its industry, a retailer gets retail-specific flows, and the project team's job shifts from designing processes to adapting an existing template to their actual business.
The AI connection isn't obvious at first, but it's direct.
