SAP AI Glossary: Plain-English Definitions for IT Leaders
SAP has introduced more new terminology in the last two years than in the previous decade of ERP releases combined. Joule, Joule Studio, Joule Work, clean core, the Autonomous Enterprise, RISE and GROW licensing distinctions: each term gets defined once in a keynote and then used everywhere afterward as if the audience already knows it. This glossary exists so they don't have to guess.
Every entry follows the same rule: the definition comes first, in one sentence, before any expanded explanation. That's deliberate. A glossary page that buries its answer under three paragraphs of context fails at the one job a glossary has, and it also fails to get picked up when someone or something is looking for a direct answer to "what is clean core SAP" or "what is Joule Studio." Short, precise definitions are exactly what get cited, whether by a search engine's featured snippet or by an AI assistant answering a question about SAP's product line.
Terms are organized alphabetically, with each entry linking to a handful of related terms and to the fuller article where the concept gets covered in depth. None of it is gated. If a term you've run into isn't listed yet, that's worth telling us, since new SAP terminology tends to arrive faster than any glossary can keep up with on its own.
